GIOVANNI SEGANTINI
From 25 October 2025 to 22 February 2026 the Museo Civico of Bassano del Grappa is presenting a major exhibition that, more than ten years after the last one on the artist, celebrates the work of one of the leading exponents of Divisionism, one of the most sensitive observers of the natural world and incomparable singer of the mountain as a physical and symbolic place: Giovanni Segantini (1858-1899).
The exhibition will follow the most important junctures of his life and artistic career through a chronological and geographical presentation divided into four sections and marked by numerous thematic focuses.
By means of a hundred-odd works from important public and private European collections - from the Musée d’Orsay to the Rijksmuseum of Amsterdam - some tracked down more than a century after their creation, the big Musei Civici of Bassano del Grappa exhibition will allow the public to discover, with completely new eyes, one of the most extraordinary artists of the Italian and European nineteenth century.
The exhibition will be made even more accessible thanks to a free audio guide in Italian, English and German. To access the audio guide content, simply bring your smartphone and own headphones, scan the QR code located at the Civic Museum ticket office and exhibition entrance.
